All residents of the Near North Side neighborhood will experience a sense of security in their homes and neighborhood.
If you lived at Preservation Square in June 2016 or if you were relocated prior to a construction phase and you are in good standing, you have the first right to return to the newly developed housing. Call (314) 421-6387 if you are interested in returning to a new apartment!
The City of St. Louis was awarded $29.5 million in 2016 for the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation grant for the Near North Side neighborhood.
The City, Urban Strategies, Inc., and their partners presented a strategic community plan to create 695 new mixed-income housing units; repurpose historic but blighted properties into housing, retail, and commercial uses; increase access to loans for small businesses and homeowners; improve access to healthy foods; and offer evidence-based education and employment opportunities.

ECONOMIC MOBILITY
Since 2020, the average household income has risen from $12,804 to $26,817.
EDUCATION
Since 2020, there has been a 21.6% increase in developmental screenings for youth aged 0-5 to prepare them for early education learning.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
Since 2020, there has been a 11.5% increase in Household with health insurance.
HOUSING STABILITY
Since 2020, there has been a 47.6% decrease in risk for eviction.
