ABOUT CHOICE
The Choice Neighborhoods program supports locally driven strategies that address struggling neighborhoods with distressed U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) housing through a comprehensive approach.
The Choice Neighborhood Initiative is the U.S. Department of Housing (HUD) and Urban Development’s signature place-based initiative to address the unrecognized challenges in neighborhoods of distress by comprehensively investing in people and neighborhood assets.
Organizations can be awarded:
Planning Grants, for up to $500,000 for the creation of a neighborhood transformational plan
Implementation Grants, for up to $50 Million for the development of Housing, Neighborhood, and People
